Suiseki Instructor Registry Committee

Custodians of Stone’s Silent Verse

“In the hush of a single stone, nature has already written its poem — a distant peak shrouded in mist, an island cradled by waves, a waterfall captured in eternal stillness. To be named in the BCI Suiseki Registry is to carry a mantle of deep trust — it means societies across the world may call upon you knowing you will bring authenticity, reverence, and wonder to their gatherings.”

Purpose & Vision

The BCI International Suiseki Instructors Registry honors those rare souls who have learned the language of stone fluently — and who possess the rarer gift of teaching it to others. Our committee does not merely compile a list; we recognize guardians of an ancient, quiet art, providing member clubs worldwide with endorsed instructors who can lecture, demonstrate, and judge suiseki with grace and authority.

The Stones Have Been Waiting

If suiseki has spoken to you across years of quiet companionship, if you have felt the deep fulfillment of helping another person hear what the stone is saying, then this recognition is meant for you.

“Suiseki is nature’s poem written in stone. A true instructor does not merely explain the poem — they teach the world how to listen.”
